Of all these buckets, downtime is the most underestimated. A repair has a known figure; an unplanned stop often costs far more than the repair itself. While a machine is down, flows slow, teams wait, shipments fall behind, and none of those losses appear on any invoice.

When rental becomes the right call
For a variable need, a seasonal peak, or a one-off project, rental changes the very nature of the spend. It converts a capital investment and maintenance costs into a predictable operating cost: a rental fee known in advance, with no surprises on servicing, periodic inspections, or resale. You get exactly the machine you need, for as long as you need it, and you avoid tying up cash in equipment that would only run part of the year.
